ACTIVITIES WE ARE INVOLVED IN

Florence Babies Village believes every child deserves a future. In Uganda, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.

Residential Care: Florence Babies Village provides a safe and loving residential home for abandoned or orphaned babies. Babies are provided with medical care, Nutrition/diet, and Early childhood activities to stimulate babies’ holistic growth and development.

Tracing and home visits. As alternative care procedures, we trace for the extended family relatives for abandoned or orphans’ babies so that they can be reunified with their extended relatives where possible. Where relatives are not found, Florence babies home places children with government approved foster families or national/ international adoptions.

Advocacy and Awareness Creation: Florence carries out advocacy drives on the fundamental human rights of abandoned babies and children within the local communities. We do this through awareness creation, training, Workshops, lobbying, network, and partnership at local, national, and international levels.

Community outreaches: Florence babies’ village supports child mothers and other vulnerable mothers who are at the threat of abandoning their babies. We do this through training of caregivers, parents on parental skills, provision of baby formulae, clothes, food, and income generating activities in terms of skills training, small businesses to increase their household income.

Networking and partnerships: We work with likeminded individuals, network organizations both at national and international levels who shares our vision and objectives. We do these through joint advocacy activities, learning workshops/training and other good practices visits.
